Denas Therapy for Toothaches and Periodontitis

denas-tooth-ache-blogToothache or tooth pain can be caused by many internal and external sources from the nerve of the tooth being irritated to inflamed gums. Also damaged teeth from playing sports or an accident, to poorly done crowns or cavity fillings. There are instances where pain originating outside the dental area such as sinuses, ear, facial muscles, damaged nerves or jaw joint will give you the feeling that it has to do with the tooth.

Treatment for a toothache depends on the cause. If a cavity is causing the toothache, your dentist will fill the cavity or possibly extract the tooth, if necessary. A root canal might be needed if the cause of the toothache is determined to be an infection of the tooth’s nerve.

Most toothaches are the result of tooth decay following good oral hygiene practices can prevent toothaches. Good oral hygiene practices consist of brushing regularly with a fluoride-containing toothpaste flossing once daily, and seeing your dentist twice a year for professional cleaning. In addition to these practices, eat foods low in sugar and ask your dentist about sealants and fluoride applications.

Several years ago I was experiencing a toothache on my lower left molar area, so I tried taking Motrin, Tylenol and Orajel to give me relief from the pain. After several days of over the counter pain products I decided to give my Denas PCM4 a try. After applying it directly to the outer facial area a total of four 30 minute therapy sessions the pain went away.

Then fast forward 18 months I went to the dentist for an exam and cleaning. During the examination he noticed that I had a very deep cavity in my back left molar where I had experienced the pain over a year ago. He was amazed because the cavity was deep into the root nerve and he said I should be in major pain, so I introduced him the Denas technology.

Denas therapy is an advanced form of Scenar that was developed by DENAS Corporation. It is a form of electro neuro stimulation. When applied it transmits a frequency signal to the brain. At that time the brain tells the body to produce (Endorphins) the bodys natural opiate type pain killers and (Neuropeptides) regulatory peptides that help the body naturally mend and repair the damaged area. Denas therapy using the PCM3 or PCM4 devices is drug free and non invasive. For relief of toothache pain turn on your device, choose the manual therapy mode and select either 140hz or 200hz and apply directly to the skin over the pain area for 30 minutes and repeat again until the pain ends. Follow up with 77hz for 10 to 15 minutes. This therapy can also be used for pain after tooth extraction.

What causes gum disease? Our mouths are full of bacteria. These bacteria, along with mucus and other particles, constantly form a sticky, colorless “plaque” on teeth. Brushing and flossing help get rid of plaque. Plaque that is not removed can harden and form “tartar” that brushing doesn’t clean. Only a professional cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist can remove tartar.

The longer plaque and tartar are on teeth, the more harmful they become. The bacteria cause inflammation of the gums that is called “gingivitis.” In gingivitis, the gums become red, swollen and can bleed easily. Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease that can usually be reversed with daily brushing and flossing, and regular cleaning by a dentist or dental hygienist. Factors that may contribute to gingivitis include, diabetes, smoking, aging, genetic predisposition, systemic diseases and conditions, stress, inadequate nutrition, puberty, hormonal fluctuations, pregnancy, substance abuse, HIV infection, and certain medication use. This form of gum disease does not include any loss of bone and tissue that hold teeth in place.

Failure to practice good hygene will allow gingivitis to advance into periodontitis. Over time, plaque will spread and grow below the gum line. The bacteria will produce toxins that will irritate the gums and cause inflammation. During this time which the body turns on itself, and the tissues and bone that support the teeth are broken down and destroyed. Gums separate from the teeth, forming pockets (spaces between the teeth and gums) that become infected. As the disease progresses, the pockets deepen and more gum tissue and bone are destroyed. Often, this destructive process has very mild symptoms. Eventually, teeth can become loose and may have to be removed

In case of periodontitis the Denas therapy can be used also by turning on your device and selecting the manual therapy program frequency 77hz and brush slowly around the area of the area of the top gum and bottom gum area known as the oral mucosa also under the jaw area ear to ear. To enhance the therapy repeat the treatment using 2.5hz or 3.6hz in the ultra low frequencies. Also continue to practice good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing your teeth daily and regular dental checkups.
